Hello and welcome! I'm Dragos, a ham radio operator from Bucharest, Romania.
I received my first HAM license in 2012 and reactivated my callsign YO3OPT in 2025. I'm proudly a greenborn in ham radio — by all means!
With over 20 years of experience in antennas and wireless communications, I’ve always been passionate about radio. My love for nature and hiking naturally drew me toward POTA and SOTA operations, pulling me back into the amateur radio world. Maybe age brought a bit more discipline and patience, too.
Currently, I'm operating with a Xiegu G90 and some well-mounted OCFD antennas across the 40–10m bands, along with FT8 setups and portable wire antennas for SOTA/POTA.
